The idea

Use the prompt to identify what is being ordered: the four-stroke cycle, conversion to rotation or the drive path toward the wheels.

Think it through

For an engine-to-wheel path, choose the starting component and then ask what receives its output. How does this method place the transmission relative to the engine and differential?

Show the reasoning

Engine output goes to the transmission, then toward the differential and driven wheels. Test each neighboring pair as a connection instead of remembering only the position of a card.
