The E86 Z4 M Coupé uses the naturally aspirated 3.2-litre S54 straight-six, rated at 343 PS and 365 Nm. Its fixed roof and rear hatch give it a different profile from the E85 M Roadster.

Air enters without a turbocharger. Cylinder capacity, valve timing and engine speed shape the engine’s torque delivery.
