Tire-pressure sensor
Reports pressure from inside a wheel on direct-monitoring systems.
Attached to the valve or wheel inside the tire.
Battery-powered electronics transmit measurements to the monitoring system.

A missing reading can reflect the sensor, battery, compatibility or a reset procedure.
Inspect tread, age, pressure and damage rather than using appearance alone. Wheels and bearings are assessed for condition.
Inflation correction is small work; tire sets, forged wheels and damaged hubs can be much larger expenses.
Some BMW generations use indirect tire monitoring instead of pressure sensors in every wheel.
