A different entry into the i4 family.
The i4 eDrive35 uses a single rear drive unit in the Gran Coupé body. It has its own battery and performance specification, so the eDrive40 data should not be copied across.

Match its own battery and charging specification to your journeys.
The eDrive35 is a separate specification from the eDrive40.
eDrive · Rear-wheel drive
Battery-electric drive with a high-voltage battery, electric motor and fixed-ratio drive. Exact equipment and battery capacity vary by market and model year.
BMW i3 electric drive unit shown in 2013. System reference: later i4, i5, i7 and iX drive units have different generations, motors and installation.
Electric drive
Battery-electric drive with a high-voltage battery, electric motor and fixed-ratio drive. Exact equipment and battery capacity vary by market and model year.
High-voltage battery
The traction battery stores electrical energy for the electric drive. Usable capacity depends on the selected specification and is listed separately from gross capacity where BMW publishes both.
Recover energy while slowing down
The drive motor can act as a generator during deceleration. The friction brakes remain essential, and energy recovery depends on operating conditions.
Fixed-ratio drive
A fixed-ratio transmission transfers electric-motor output to the driven wheels. The BMW drive configuration shown is specific to the model and market listed.
